BIBLIOGRAPHY:

Dr. Ria R. Pinkston-McKee joined ABWHE in 1990 and
have held the positions of treasurer and programs
committee chair of the Chicago Chapter.  In addition, I had the pleasure of serving on the ABWHE national board as Membership and Credentials Committee Chair.  The mission of ABWHE has always held a special place in my heart. 

Professionally and personally I am committed “to lift as we climb,” providing opportunities for Black women and youth to grow and develop in higher education.  My professional work experience includes positions in both Academic and Student Affairs, ranging from Assistant Dean of Academic Development to Director of TRIO/Student Support Services.  I am currently the Director of TRIO/Educational Opportunity Outreach Programs at the University of Illinoisat Chicago.  Through these positions I have had the opportunity to give back to our youth and encourage their growth and development, as well impact the professional development of Black Women in Higher Education.
